Review – Hilton Nicosia Hotel (Hilton Park Hotel), Cyprus

Table of Contents

Recently I got back from a “mini eurotrip”. I spent 3 weeks in Spain (Alicante), Serbia (Belgrade) and Cyprus. When I was in Cyprus, I've stayed in Hilton Nicosia, and this is our review for Hilton Nicosia.

Hilton Nicosia ReviewsHilton Nicosia Pricing and Availability

I was trying to avoid countries and cities with many cases of Covid-19 hence I chose the countries and cities above. When I stayed in Alicante, Spain, I stayed in an Airbnb (for the very first time in my life!) and actually it was a very nice and interesting experience from a point of view of someone who usually stays in hotels. Felt more like a home away from home, I could cook for myself, no room service, no fully stocked mini bar etc.

Right after I left Spain, I flew to Belgrade and stayed at Hilton Belgarde, but today we're going to review Hilton Nicosia (also known as Hilton Park Nicosia) in Cyprus.

I've been to Cyprus only once in my life, around 8 years ago. The company I used to work for had a client there, so we flew to Cyprus, attended the meeting and flew all the way back home. It doesn't count as if I visited Cyprus, so I decided to give Cyprus a chance to impress me and so I did. And boy was I impressed!

Since it's Covid-19 time, Cyprus was pretty empty. As a matter of fact, when I entered the dining room in the first morning, I was almost the only guest there. I asked the host how many rooms are occupied in the hotel and she said 12. Out of 198 rooms in total. It was quite sad to see the huge amounts of food served in the dining room, knowing most of it won't be consumed and might be thrown away. I do hope they at least donate it to people in need or shelters who provide meals to those in need.

All in all, the hotel is great and I really enjoyed my stay there though at some point I decided to move to Radisson Blu Larnaca simply because there's not much to do in Nicosia after spending there 5 days.

Breakfast at The Olympia Restaurant at Hilton Nicosia

The dining room at Hilton Nicosia is called “Olympia Restaurant” and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is offering authentic Mediterranean food in a chic and modern ambience. The variety of foods is amazing and visiting breakfast is definitely not recommended if you're on a diet since you would want to try basically everything!

The Swimming Pool at Hilton Nicosia, Cyprus

As I've mentioned earlier – because of Covid-19, the hotel was pretty empty – hence the swimming pool was empty as well. There wasn't even 1 person in the area and it was quite a sad view.

However, The lagoon style 600 sq. m. swimming pool is beautiful, pretty big and impressive. There are lots of trees and plants (as well as palm trees!) around and it seems like it's being maintained well except for some leaves in the water. Great landscaping job. I wasn't sure why it's called “Hilton Park Nicosia” but after taking a short walk around the pool, I figured it.

There's also a ramp which seems to me as if it's for accessibility purposes.

The Executive Lounge at Hilton Nicosia

Located in front of the reception desk in the lobby level, the executive lounge at Hilton Nicosia is fairly small, and very limited in terms of food and beverages, but taking into account I was travelling all day long, and almost didn't have enough time to spend there – I did enjoy the opportunity to have a drink or 2, and some appetizers as soon as I got back to the hotel in the evening.

Entrance to the lounge is not free of course. The only rooms that provide guests with lounge access are executive rooms and suites, and all other types of rooms if you're Hilton's Diamond member.

Sana Hiltonia Health & Fitness Center

Hilton Nicosia has full-service spa with heated indoor pool and fitness center. If you got used to waking up in the morning and going to the gym (not me!), then Hilton Nicosia's health and fitness center has got you covered. They have almost every equipment you could have dreamed of, and there are personal trainers to help you out.

King One Bedroom Suite at Hilton Nicosia, Cyprus

As a Diamond member at Hilton Honors' program, I was upgraded to a luxurious and modern king one bedroom suite. It is a contemporary suite offering a spacious living room, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and Executive Lounge access with complimentary breakfast and refreshments, as well as a king-size bed and large opening windows.

Measuring 62m² including a separate living room area, as well as dining and working areas, this suite comes with VIP amenities, Hilton Serenity beds, complimentary internet access, two 55-inch HDTV, black-out curtains facility and cozy armchair with ottoman. As mentioned earlier – the suites at Hilton Nicosia provide exclusive access to the Executive Lounge's complimentary breakfast, snacks and beverages. Other benefits include access to the Sana Hiltonia Health and Fitness Spa with complimentary use of the indoor pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, hamam, sauna and gym.

Special touches include fluffy bathrobes and slippers, mineral water, and tea/coffee making facilities.

Frankly speaking – the King One Bedroom Suite has almost everything one could ask, except for a pool view. The suites face the parking area (or the “mountains” as you can see in the photos). In addition – the fact that it's made of 2 rooms connected with a connecting door – makes this suite perfect for families where the children sleep in the small room, while the parents are in the bigger room, so they could have some privacy.
