About The Royal Albert Dock
The Royal Albert Dock is a complex of floating docks and warehouses. It is located in Liverpool, England. It was built in 1846 and designed by Jesse Hartley and Philip Hardwick. In the 19th century, when the country was in the midst of an industrial revolution, the port of Liverpool became very important in the British Empire in terms of traffic and it served as a port of imported exotic products such as brandy, cotton, tea , silk, tobacco, ivory and sugar. The port also served as a starting point for the commercial transport of English innovations.
