Hilton today announces the opening of its second Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Argentina – Hilton Garden Inn Neuquén. Designed, built and owned by ASPA Desarrollos Patagonia, the 130-room, new-build modern hotel in Patagonia’s tallest building marks the global hospitality company’s first property in the province.
“Travel and tourism continues to act as an important economic driver for Argentina, contributing more than 10% to the country’s GDP1. Given the focus on this sector, Argentina is a key market in our expansion plans across the Caribbean and Latin America,” said Jorge Giannattasio, senior vice president and head of operations, Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton. “With five Hilton properties welcoming travelers across the country, we are excited to offer Hilton Garden Inn Neuquén as the newest complement to our portfolio. We look forward to having our guests enjoy the top quality accommodations and exceptional service for which the Hilton Garden Inn brand is known.”
Boasting idyllic city views, Hilton Garden Inn Neuquén offers 130 spacious guest rooms and suites featuring the brand’s signature bedding, a spacious and clutter-free work desk with an ergonomic desk chair, and an in-room “hospitality center” with a mini fridge as well as a coffee maker.
Hilton Garden Inn has been a food and beverage leader in the upscale hotel category for more than a decade. Guests have a variety of on-site dining options, including Vive Restaurant with cooked-to-order breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a Lobby bar. The Shop is open 24 hours for on-the-go guests seeking salty snacks, sweet treats, beverages, and ready-to-cook meals. Travelers can also take advantage of a 24-hour fitness center, full-service spa, indoor jacuzzi, and five meeting rooms with more than 4,300 square feet of event space.
Located less than 6 miles from Juan Domingo Perón International Airport, Hilton Garden Inn Neuquén grants convenient access to Centro de Ski Chapelco, the City Center, and Alto Comahue Shopping Mall. Recognized as the host rock for major deposits of shale oil and shale gas, the Neuquén Basin is also home to the Vaca Muerta — a geological formation of the late Jurassic to early Cretaceous age that offers the potential for new resources in hydrocarbons, nonconventional gas and oil production.
Hilton currently has a portfolio of more than 150 hotels and resorts open and welcoming travelers in 23 countries across the Caribbean and Latin America, including five in Argentina: Hilton Pilar, Hilton Buenos Aires, Hilton Garden Inn Tucuman, Anselmo Buenos Aires, Curio Collection by Hilton, and now Hilton Garden Inn Neuquén. The company is actively pursuing additional Caribbean and Latin American growth opportunities and currently has a robust pipeline of approximately 95 hotels throughout the region.
Hilton Garden Inn Neuquén participates in Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest loyalty program for Hilton’s 18 distinct hotel brands. Members who book directly have access to instant benefits, including a flexible payment slider that allows members to choose nearly any combination of points and money to book a stay, an exclusive member discount, free standard WiFi and access to the Hilton Honors mobile app.
